Scrapbook Saturday

Uncategorized

I’ve been scrapbooking a lot lately. It seems to be one of the only stress free things I have these days.

My Life at 26

First I finished up this page about my life at 26. I have had the journaling done for quite awhile now, and figured I should get the page finished up before I turn 27.

Journaling reads:
My Life at 26
– We are in the middle of building our dream home.
– Everyday feels like it is filled with decisions and to-do items for the house.
– We sold our first home. Even though I am so excited to move into the new one, some days I still miss “our” first home and will always remember Hugh Street with a smile.
– We are living with my parents while the house is being built.
– Most of the songs on my MP3 player by Taylor Swift.
– I actually feel pretty “ready” to be a mother, but am so worn out I can’t even think about adding another responsibility to my life right now.
– I love being an aunt and am so excited to have a second niece on the way.
– I?m passionate about recycling.
– I am a DHD Decorator, and it is one of my life’s greatest joys.
– I photographed my first wedding this summer.
– Every night I go to bed thinking about how blessed my life is and how exhausted I am from living it.

Our First Night

Next I made a page about our first night in the house.

Journaling reads:
Tonight we spent the first night in our new house. We went back and forth all day about whether or not we were going to stay, and then we finally decided we wanted to go ahead and start sleeping here. They still have a good bit of touch up painting to do, so we basically just brought up our bedroom furniture and clothes, but it’s a start. We barely got here before it was time to go to bed, so there was a lot of time to try stuff out. I did attempt to make lemonade, and found that the water was a little too yellow before I added the lemon packet. I guess I need to give it a week or two to flush the lines before I make lemonade. We both slept well, and it only took us 15 minutes the next morning to figure out how to turn on our fancy shower. Overall, it was a pretty good first night.

Summer Never Ends

I also made this fun page for Faithers. Jen Allyson released her July 365 kit, and I couldn’t resist doing something fun and bright for summer with it.

Journaling reads:
Ahhhh? the perfect summer day. Your hair is still in your beach braids. Your cheeks are pink from playing outside all day and running around in the hot sun. You spend your evening climbing on the jungle gym next to the dugout waiting for the boy?s softball game to start. Sounds like you’ve got summer down to a T.
