Amber has become one of my favorite friends, and not only does she sell the gorgeous Wildflower clothing line that I love for Haven, but she is a fellow twin mama. Unlikely my boys who look very different and have spent lots of time apart, Brooke and Brinley are identical and have spent all but maybe a couple of hours of their lives together.
They are so cute to watch together and truly love one another.
Of course, Amber brings them to almost all of her pop-up shows – because look at those two perfect, little models.
I loved every minutes of my session with baby Jack and his parents. He was the happiest baby and made the cutest faces. Clearly mom and dad are pretty smitten with him too.
Dad is an anesthesiologist, and when mom dressed baby Jack up in this crochet doctor outfit, I almost died from cuteness overload. (Good thing we had a doctor in the studio, right? 😉 )
Mom said they never had newborn pictures done, so she wanted to capture all those little detail shots while he was still little. I was more than happy to oblige. They do change so fast, but it is never too late to document little piggies, fingers and every inch of the baby-ness <3
Have you ever met someone who was literally just good at EVERYTHING??? Sydney is one of those people! She is a track star. She was Homecoming Queen. She’s an amazing artist. Captain of the volleyball and basketball teams. She is on the honor roll. She is the sweetest big sister. Oh, and did I mention that she can sing and play the piano? Seriously, she is one of the most talented young ladies I have ever met.
I have been so honored to have her as one of my 2019 Senior Reps, because she is beautiful inside and out.
It makes me happy to see her smiling in the pew across from me at church each Sunday and to read every post her mom shares about the next amazing thing that Sydney has accomplished.
Some times I worry about where this world is going and all the crazy things our youth does these days, and then I see amazing kids like Sydney and realize we still have hope <3
Matt is a 2018 senior at Parkersburg High School. He is one of the Big Red’s star soccer players, so we wanted to capture some awesome creative shots of his favorite sport. We started our session in the locker room and explored the Fieldhouse and bleachers.
Next we went to Downtown Parkersburg for some traditional portraits. Matt really has such a great smile.
One other thing that Matt was excited to incorporate in his senior portraits was his car. I love finding ways to make my session (especially for my seniors) really unique and custom to them. And who doesn’t want to remember the car you drove your senior year? We parked his car under the overpass and I shot away.
I used to work with Matt’s mom years ago, and twisted her arm a little to get her in some shots with her youngest. Look at that smile! I think it’s safe to say we found his biggest fan.
One of the things that I love most about seniors sessions with the guys is they usually start out so hesitant about the whole thing. Most do it for their parents and are just there to get through it. By the end, I usually win them over and they start to show me their true goofy personalities – which is always my favorite!
I had the pleasure of photographing this was a gorgeous wedding at Lafayette Hotel in Marietta, Ohio. Amanda and Kyle are such a fun and laid back couple, and really made my job as their photographer easy! And hello, aren’t they just the most beautiful couple?!?
Their two nephews were the ring bearers and were the cutest little guys. Amanda and Kyle were both so mitten with both of them.
Kyle’s sister (one of the bridesmaids) was my “helper” that day and was just all-round awesome! She was there to assist me with anything she could and really helped make everything run smooth. I just love when the family is so supportive of the bride and groom and really do everything they can to make their day as perfect as possible. Such love and devotion.
Amanda’s wedding color was champagne pink, and it was stunning! Every detail of her special day turned out beautifully.
You wouldn’t know it from the pictures, but the day started off pretty darn crazy. It was the same day as several of the local proms, and with it being a rainy afternoon, several highschool couples had flocked to the gorgeous hotel and its lobby. Like literally people everywhere! And while it’s great that they had a pretty place to take pictures, we had a wedding and bride and groom who had paid to take pictures at the hotel. I made sure we got all the good spots that we needed, and made sure my clients got the unique shots we wanted like the fun elevator shot (that I know is a favorite of Amanda’s) and the antique phone booth. One sweet couple staying at the hotel, even let us go through their room and shoot on the little balcony that overlooks the river. Amanda and Kyle were troopers through it all! Never let it overshadow their special day and always had confidence in me and my ability to capture their memories!
If you are looking for a wedding photographer in the Mid-Ohio Vallery or Parkersburg area, I would love to talk with you about your upcoming big day! <3
